Biostrap was selected by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparaties (NIHMD) as the digital health solution for a COVID-19 natural history study to better understand the long-term sequelae of COVID-19 in disproportionately impacted and underserved populations with diminished access to healthcare.
Prospective identification of COVID-19 patients at high risk of developing short and/or long term arrhythmic and cardiac complications, and who may require close cardiovascular surveillance after resolution of symptoms using digital health monitoring to investigate the incidence and predictive factors of early cardiovascular complications and common behavioral health or mental health symptoms.
Aim I : Use continuous digital health monitoring to investigate the incidence and predictive factors of early cardiovascular complications related to COVID19 in all COVID19 diagnosed patients.
Aim II : Determine the long-term impact of COVID19 on cardiovascular outcomes in patients diagnosed with COVID19, including hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients, using continuous digital health monitoring.
Aim III : Uitilize behavioral health surveys in conjuction with continuous digital health monitoring to screen for common behavioural and mental health disorderd in post COVID19 patients and determine its association with cardiovascular events.
The Biostrap Activity Pod is being utilized in a pharmaceutical intervention study to monitor changes in step count, cadence, active duration, and activity bouts in a population of patients with a specific neuromuscular disease. Biostrap aided in the development of a population-specific activity bout classification algorithm.
Biostrap was selected as the RPM partner for UNLV Athletics to investigate the correlation between self-reported versus Biostrap quantified recovery and health status. This study includes athlete cohorts from various athletic programs.
Determine the sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value of continuous biometric monitoring (BM) compared to daily symptom checklists & vital sign measurements for outcomes, deterioration and/or death in a population of nursing facility patients diagnosed with COVID-19.
Biostrap has been selected as the RPM partner for AdvancingX, a research and technology leader for markets including space exploration and the defense industry, to help advance safety and optimize performance of its Career Astronauts. This study includes participants from over 128 countries across the world.
Utilizing a series of Bluetooth-enabled wearables, Biostrap captures clinical-grade high-fidelity biosignals and transfers this data to our Pulse EngineTM for cloud processing.
